How gorgeous the scenery of Terrafall was, appealing to the eye and also bountiful, prey was abundant. The territory also housed many various creeks, springs, rivers, and there had even been tales of a large lake located at the eastern border. The place was no doubt large, enormous enough to boast three lands separate from the main land of Terrafall. It was apparent that a pack would thrive here.. But where was the pack? Strangely enough, the land was quiet, lacking the sounds of canines. Only the contented hum of locusts, crickets, and frogs filled the air, along with the twittering harmonies the birds sang, adding to the din. The wind playfully teased the creatures of the territory, whispering between the trees of the forestry, rustling the leaves of several plants and ruffling the fur and feathers of the forest inhabitants. Everything, every creature, was in high spirits, for it was mating season, the season to conceive offspring.

However, not everybody was pleased with this. Hostility was also on high, nerves grated. Males were fighting for receptive females, and these females were taken to being even more unbearable than usual. The majority of female simply wished to have offspring, the other half wished only to flirt. Aerolayh was found in a third category. The alphess was receptive and hated this, nor did she have any intentions of becoming a mother anytime soon. She had never liked pups much, somehow lacked that particularly maternal instinct that females possessed. It mattered little to her, one who took no interest in males. They were a waste of time. But the life she`d constructed for herself had somehow shattered; there was a new alphen of Terrafall. Just thinking of the male made her temper flare, one could just heart the warning bells jangling inside their heads. She wasn`t something to toy with while angry.

Slowly, the alabaster she-wolf navigated the dense forestry, her nostrils twitching as she attempted to decipher the differing scents. One had caught her attention earlier, it had been the particularly foolish one of a young canine: a pup. How had a mere pup found her way through the puzzling maze that surrounded Terrafall. Few could find their way into the lush haven. That was what interested her as she neared the small lupine. Suddenly she slipped from the thicket, icy sapphire gaze settling upon the snowy white form of the pup, dripping and miserable-looking. She approached slowly, taking her time to take in the sight of the whelp. No doubt she was a female, and curiously enough, had the same coloring as herself. Plume curling over her back instinctively, to portray her high rank, a soft growl passed through her jaws. It wasn`t a hostile one, more like a warning. "And what are you doing?"
